About Birlik Yoli Political Movement

The Birlik Yoli (Path of Unity) political movement, as a political organization in Afghanistan, has emerged from an urgent necessity dictated by the specific objective and subjective conditions of our society and the demands of the current situation of the country.

The movement is dedicated to the unity, justice, and shared destiny of all peoples of Afghanistan — Uzbeks, Tajiks, Pashtuns, Hazaras, Turkmens and other ethnic groups — on the basis of equal citizenship and democratic values.

Our full charter will be published on this page.

Our Vision

Birlik Yoli Political Stream — Path of Unity — believes that the future of Afghanistan must be built on equal citizenship, social justice, the rule of law, and cultural pluralism. We seek a country where all its peoples — Uzbek, Tajik, Hazara, Pashtun, Turkmen, Aimaq, Baloch, Nuristani, Pashai, Gujar, Arab, and others — share a common national destiny while preserving their ethnic, linguistic, and cultural identities.

Core Pillars

  • National Unity: Solidarity among all peoples and ethnicities of Afghanistan, grounded in equal rights and human dignity.
  • Social Justice: A fair distribution of opportunities, resources, and political power among every citizen.
  • Language & Culture: Respect for all national languages and cultures, including the official recognition of Uzbek as one of the principal languages of the country.
  • Participatory Democracy: An inclusive political system in which every citizen's voice is heard.
  • Progress & Development: Investment in education, health, and the economy to lift the people out of poverty and backwardness.
  • Accountability & Transparency: Political and organisational work carried out openly, before the eyes of the people.

Our Path

Through civil principles, constructive dialogue, and accountable political work, we strive to build a society free of discrimination, violence, and monopoly. Birlik Yoli is an unarmed civic-political organisation that pursues its ideals through diplomacy, national dialogue, public information, and grassroots organising.

Why “Birlik Yoli”?

Birlik Yoli means “Path of Unity” in the Uzbek language. The name was chosen because the first step toward rescuing Afghanistan from two centuries of crisis is reaching genuine unity among all of its peoples — a unity built not on force and suppression, but on mutual recognition, respect, and equal rights.

An Invitation

Birlik Yoli invites every free-thinking woman and man — intellectuals, elites, youth, and civic activists — to join this path and contribute to a united, prosperous, and dignified Afghanistan. Membership is free of charge, and our doors are open to every honest, free-minded citizen.
